Pistachios are common in Italy. You’ll find pistachio-flavored gelato, pistachio cream... and pistachio croissants. During chestnut harvest time, roasted chestnut stalls were easy to find on the street. Extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar are must-haves on an Italian table, always there to enhance the flavors of the food.
